Digital media's impact on our intellectual and creative processes are far reaching and ingrained in our society. The way people gather information has been forever changed by the glut of information available to us. Much of this information is summarized, surface, and replayed time and time again, watering down much of the source material. The amount of regurgitated uninformed sources spreads like a plague across the internet as a scourge on our intellectual growth. This extreme infiltration of information aids in our intellectual and creative growth as well though. If the appropriate time is taken and resources utilized, there is more in depth information available to people than ever. Most anyone can gain access to a wealth of information about any topic, allowing for intense research and growth in a variety of fields. While much of this information may have been impossible to access for many people 20 years ago, the internet does not discriminate.
